Costa Rica 2016

Me and two girlfriends rented a car and road tripped across Costa Rica and it was one of my favorite trips! Renting a car was a little expensive but well worth it, we got a navigation system so it was relatively easy to get around. We stayed in Tamarindo which was such a cute beach town with lots of bars and restaurants (all the food was amazing). With the rental car we were able to hop in and explore many of the surrounding beaches that were all equally unique and beautiful. Then we headed for the jungle to spend the rest of our trip chasing waterfalls, volcanos, and sloths.

Playa Flamingo. A beautiful beach without the crowd offering fresh coconut water and massages.

Into the jungle:
We spent our first night at a hostel in La Fortuna then came across this beautiful bed and breakfast called Toad Hall overlooking Lake Arenal and couldn't pass it up.

The outside portion of our room was breath taking but got a little bug infested at night, the bedroom was bug free though!

Sloth sighting 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Volcano Arenal

Swimming in La Fortuna Waterfall was hands down my favorite moment from the trip! Don't miss out on this waterfall if you visit Costa Rica! Super easy to get to just 480 natural steps down and up.

Pure Happiness

We also zip linned over the jungle and went to some natural hot springs while in La Fortuna that I suggest looking into! xx
