Puerto Vallarta 2017

I'm a huge fan of vacationing in the beach cities of Mexico, the land of my favorite food (chips & salsa). This was my first time to Puerto Vallarta and I was not disappointed! The beaches were beautiful, great weather, amazing food, and no shortage of things to do! We jet skied, snorkeled, rode horses along the beach, and ate and drank way too much! Puerto Vallarta is also known for its busy nightlife so if it's relaxation or partying you're looking for, this place has it all!

We stayed at Park Royal Resort which was awesome and had tons of great amenities! One of my favorites was the 2 for 1 margaritas at any of the beachside pools! The view from our balcony wasn't so bad either...

Had the best time riding these beautiful babies! To our luck, we found a guy out front of our resort who owned horses and brought them for us to ride the next morning.

Puerto Vallarta has tons of great beach clubs where you can enjoy a couple cocktails by the pool! This spot, Mantamar Beach Club caught my eye right away. Who doesn't love a pool full of floaties?

We took a day trip to Sayulita, Nayarit which was about an hour drive from Puerto Vallarta. I'm so glad we did because it is the cutest beach town with colorful umbrellas lining the coastline. This place has a more low key hippie vibe with tons of surf camps, cute trendy cafes, and healthy juice spots. I wish we would have stayed here longer because one day just wasn't enough.

We also went to Aquaventuras water park and dolphin discovery and got to swim with dolphins!! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures with the dolphins but it was such an amazing experience. We got to swim and interact with the dolphins and they are such beautiful animals! If you love dolphins you'd love this and there are also lots of water slides!

Puerto Vallarta was a great time! The only thing we missed out on that we wanted to do was Marieta Islands 'Hidden Beach'. If you're there I highly suggest looking into it! Due to weather conditions and current we were unable to get a ride there so that will be on the list for the next time we visit!
